Hosting a Seminar

 

Hosting a Seminar is easy, even for busy moms!  Just pick your date and send me an email. Confirmation is a received down payment and if flying, payment for the flight.  Next, you will need to advertise and collect registration fees from your participants.  Finally, you just need to make sure your room and food are set and you're ready to go!

 Costs: 

 

 

Speakers stipend:     $500   ($100 is the down payment)

Travel expenses:       $100-$500      It includes payment for the airline ticket, or $.35 a mile if driving.

                                                             And provisions for an overnight stay, if necessary, at a host home 

                                                             or hotel.  

Cost per Attendee    $10 each          I need this count (+/- 5) two weeks prior to the seminar.

                                                              This allows for up to 5 additions or 5 cancellations. This covers

                                                               the costs of the workbook.

 

 

Real Costs of a Recent Seminar:

         Airline ticket:                                                                                                         $350

         Speaker's Stipend                                                                                                 $500

         Number of Attendees: 42 x $10=                                                                          $420

         Stayed with Theresa, one of the attendees:                                                                 $0

         Lunch for the attendees from Costco,                                                                     $200

         plus some volunteers bringing some food                                                                    $0

                                                                                                                          Total  $1470                              

         Cost per attendee:  $35*.x 42=                                                                         $1470

 *This cost is set by the hostess based on her estimated attendance. 

Many times a parish, business, or patron will subsidize some of the costs.
