Hosting a Seminar

 

Hosting a Seminar is easy, even for busy moms!  Just pick your date and confirm with an email.  Next you will need to advertise and collect registrations from your participants.  Finally, you just need to make sure your room is set and you're ready to go!

Typical Schedule
8:30-9:00 Coffee and Donuts, Registration
9:00-10:00 First Presentation/Personal Time
10:00-10:10 Break
10:10-11:00 2nd Presentation/Small Group Discussion
11:00-11:10 Break
11:10-12:00 3rd Presentation/Small Group Discussion
 12:00-  1:00 Lunch
1:00-2:00 4th Presentation/Large Group Discussion

 

 

 

 

 Costs:

     *For groups of 30 or more, $20.00 each

         *For groups less than 30, $25.00 each with a minimum of 10

 

         *Travel expenses must also be covered.  For a local seminar, this is $.50 a mile.  When a flight must be scheduled, the hostess will book the flight and advance this on a credit card.  She will be fully reimbursed when the attendees pay for the seminar.  In fact for her trouble, she does not have to pay the $20 or $25 fee.  Worse case scenario:  If a seminar has to be cancelled because of the hostess/group, she can be reimbursed from the airlines the flight payment minus a cancellation fee up to two weeks prior to the seminar.  If it's on my account, I will certainly reimburse the hostess.  Arrangements for a hotel or a host family must also be arranged.Confirmation for a date for the seminar occurs when the flight is booked. 

 

Confirmation for a local seminar takes place when a check for half of the $.50 a mile is sent.

Many women's groups who have sponsored a seminar often charge a slightly higher amount to each participant to cover travel expenses, lunch, and/or other costs.  Usually it is $5-$15 more.  Still a bargain for a professional seminar!
